Painter of the, uh, Month: Odd Nerdrum
Odd Nerdrum (born 1944) is a modern painter wedged between our world, the time of Rembrandt and another side known to us only through feeling and dreams. He creates unbelievable feeling through simple juxtapositions in his parallel waste land. Part of this comes from the unique paints he himself creates to forge a decayed look.
